PROPER Practitioner Training Course

Christopher is the creator of the UK’s first training course for artists specialising in creating theatre with children and young people. The 3 day course enables artists and practitioners to connect their craft to Arts Council England’s 7 Quality Principles of Excellence with children and young people.

Perfect for those PROPER artists who want to:

  • Articulate their expertise, in a landscape that doesn’t always respect the craft and rigour required to create excellent work with/by/for children and young people.

  • Actively demonstrate the social impact of their work, in addition to the outstanding artistic quality.

  • Re-evaluate their own practice to ensure artistic excellence is driving the creation process alongside accessibility and inclusion.

The PROPER Practitioner Training Course is delivered by Warts and All Theatre. Who regularly run the course across the UK. It is also available to be programmed by theatre, universities and venues to train internal staff.
